A delicious and easy Stuffed Chicken Cordon Bleu Bake that’s perfect for a weeknight meal or special occasion.

- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices ham
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups milk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut a pocket into each chicken breast.
- Stuff each pocket with 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk until the sauce thickens. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Pour half of the sauce into the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed chicken breasts in the baking dish.
- Pour the remaining sauce over the chicken.
- In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over the chicken.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden brown.
Notes
- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- You can add a pinch of nutmeg to the sauce for extra flavor.
- For a creamier sauce, use heavy cream instead of milk.
