- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken on a large baking sheet.
- Arrange the trimmed asparagus around the chicken.
- Pour the balsamic glaze evenly over the chicken and asparagus.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the asparagus is tender-crisp, flipping the chicken halfway through if desired for even browning.
- Serve immediately.

- For thicker chicken breasts, you may need to pound them to an even thickness for consistent cooking.
