Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken on a large baking sheet.
  4. Arrange the trimmed asparagus around the chicken.
  5. Pour the balsamic glaze evenly over the chicken and asparagus.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the asparagus is tender-crisp, flipping the chicken halfway through if desired for even browning.
